John Hays Prayer Letter: God Is Working!

God sent me to Africa in April, where He is working to give the Gospel and water-treatment systems through me, an unprofitable servant.

The Ivory Coast

I’ll report what God is doing in the Ivory Coast. The border was closed between Liberia and the Ivory Coast, but God gave us a document giving exception to us. The water-treatment team went to work and trained 10 pastors in the operation of the water-treatment systems and in the Gospel. A pastor was saved, and systems were given out.

Testimonies were given of what the machine had done. A boy with an enlarged stomach went to the hospital but was turned away because it appeared hopeless. However, the boy made a complete recovery after the church gave him some treated water. The result is that many people are coming to Christ!

An elderly lady was lying in the hospital near death. Her grandchildren attended a church that had one of our water-treatment systems. The pastor took her some treated water, and she made a complete recovery and walked home.

The results are from God, promising the water is healed. “And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.” (II Kings 2:21)

The pattern and results are much the same in Liberia and Sierra Leone. God gave us radio time on Liberty Radio in Monrovia, Liberia. Testimonies and the Gospel were given.

Pray! Pray! Pray! This is a spiritual battle. Without Christ, I will fail. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
